DaWreck, Never, and Twista's "Pump Up".

One of my favorite chopper records of recent years which doesn’t get nearly enough shine is easily "Pump Up" by DaWreck of Triple Darkness, Never of Crucial Conflict, and the legendary arguably inventor of the rapid fire midwest style, Twista.
Produced by XCELENCE, Pump Up is a joint that's perfect for riding down LSD in the summer while bumping out of your speakers. All three emcees hit flows and lyrics that are just mind blowingly DOPE.
“Shaken the ground breaking the sound barrier Burying clowns up in the ground it sounds scarier Loud whenever we getting down ya bound to get drowned So better not come around to our area pal” from DaWreck. The flow and cadence here is chef’s kiss on the record.
Never’s first bars of his verse; “Yeah tell me how you figure u can get up with the illest Illinois boys like reservoir dogs That put the bomb on ya noggin explode ya thoughts Ya curious about how we come across” Always like a solid Quentin Tarantino Reservoir Dogs reference.
And lastly with Twista my favorite part of his verse is when he’s metaphorically comparing himself to the emcee’s he’s sharing the record with; Never and DaWreck. “We gone violently win, I'm a blend-of These-2 ni***s look at the way I am applying these gems A combination of both when I spit a verse I am these men so alone I am Siamese twins” Hearing this on the track about how he’s a fusion of both DaWreck and Never as if its like a DBZ anime scene power up; mad dope bars and the flow hits you like a spinal tap. Immediate lyrical ear candy when hearing this part of Twista’s verse.
The midwest chopper and speedster in me can't get enough of this record and any hip hop head, Chicago hip hop fan, or any rap fan of uptempo music can greatly appreciate this notable entry into their respective catalogs.
